While looking ahead to the future, Silicon Valley 4.0 will honor the past by holding this conference at the new Computer History Museum - their first ever full-day event. Conference attendees will be able to visit the Museum's Visible Storage Exhibits during lunch and the evening reception.
In October 2002, the Computer History Museum acquired this landmark building. A few months later, in June 2003, the Computer History Museum's Alpha Phase opened, including a 9,000 square-foot Visible Storage Exhibit area with 500 key objects from the collection, a 400-person auditorium, donor acknowledgment walls and more. In addition to tours of its extensive collection -- including software, hardware and underlying technology, graphics systems, networking, Internet, and computing precursor systems -- the Museum's Alpha Phase programs include public lectures, seminars, workshops, and artifact restoration and other volunteer-led projects.
